Wasabi
CH Windswept's Hot 'N' Here
Wasabi is the most handsome Shiba Inu we know.
He has finished his AKC Championship with limited showing. He won two Group 3's and one Group 4 from the 6-9 class, and he will have a specials career when he is old enough. For now, he is amusing us by falling in love (or whatever dogs do) with every bitch that comes to visit, be it to be shown or to be bred by one
of the Golden boys. His smitten condition is very obvious, and he enjoys the girls.
He has a beautiful expression, very readable, and his coat and tailset are as good as they get. Judges have consistently put him BOB or BOS, and he finished his CH with 17 points, three majors. Wasabi has 'asked'
for the win, and gotten it.
He is compact, solidly muscled, good spirited and very affectionate with us. We love this dog- on reading the Japanese breed standard, "A spirited boldness, a good nature, and an unaffected forthrightness, which together yield dignity and natural beauty", we are happy to note that this description fits Wasabi exactly. Shibas are among the oldest of the breeds, and have recently been DNA dated to the 3rd century BC. Wasabi is fed a raw diet, as are all our dogs, and his coat, teeth and athleticism all reflect his good health.
He's reasonably obedient -for a Shiba- and a Rally title is upcoming for Wasabi.
